Canberra Landscapes: Floriade to Acton

Join Professor Ken Taylor, planning and landscape historian and author of Canberra: City in the Landscape for a guided walk from Commonwealth Park to Acton. Ken will share his insights into the history of Canberra’s landscape and planning, stopping to admire some stunning views along the way, including those from the rarely visited City Hill.  Participants will have the opportunity to browse Dalton’s Floriade book stall and receive a 10% tour discount on selected titles. Tour ends with afternoon tea at Urban Food Store Café, NewActon (own expense). 

Start: Outside entrance to Regatta Point, Barrine Drive, Commonwealth Park

End: Urban Food Store and Cafe, NewActon (15 minute walk back to the starting point).

Start Time: 1:00pm

Finish Time: 3:00pm
